The choreographer is responsible for choreographing performances for stage and film. They can arrange and choreograph dances, as well as audition and select musical numbers. These tasks are essential for smooth operation of a theatre, dance company, or movie production. Although degree programs in dance are possible, they are not required to be employed. Many choreographers have years of dance training. Some also hold a bachelor’s degree in dance for future employment opportunities.
